Team Desktop and sharing
Use the shared Team Desktop for workspace-wide work, watch its live Chrome stream together, and share files or folders with teammates.
Every workspace has a Team Desktop: a shared endOS machine that belongs to the workspace rather than to any one member. It has its own filesystem, its own apps, and its own Chrome, and any member can switch to it and pick up where someone else left off. In Files, its shared views are Team Desktop and Shared with me.
Switch to the Team Desktop
Use the desktop switcher in the dock and choose Team Desktop. Your personal desktop keeps running; you are moving your view to the shared machine.
The agent can move there too. When you ask it to work on shared material, it switches its own context to the Team Desktop, so its terminals, files, and browser act on the shared machine instead of your private one.
Storage quota
The Team Desktop has 50 GB of shared storage, held in its Desktop folder at /home/endstack/Desktop.

Watch and drive Chrome together
The Team Desktop's screen is a genuinely shared surface. Its Chrome stream is delivered to every member viewing the Team Desktop at once, so you are all looking at the same live browser rather than separate copies.
That makes it a practical place to work in front of other people:
- Walk a team through a presentation, a dashboard, or a design review without screen-sharing from your laptop.
- Watch a video together, with audio streamed alongside the picture.
- Debug something in a web app as a group, where everyone can see the same page state.
Two things are worth knowing before you present. Chrome runs one profile at a time on a desktop, so if someone switches the Team Desktop's Chrome profile mid-session it closes the tabs everyone was watching. And the resolution everyone sees follows the person holding control.
Find shared files
You can work with shared files from:
- The Team Desktop and Shared with me roots in the Files sidebar.
- A file or folder's Share dialog.
- File properties, where you can review access to Team Desktop items.
- The desktop context menu, which can copy or move an item to the Team Desktop.
- Channel attachments, which can automatically share files with channel members.
Understand the shared views

Canonical shared objects live on the workspace shared volume. Team Desktop and Shared with me are the user-facing views of those objects.
Share a file or folder
- Open Share on the file or folder.
- Search for and select workspace members, turn on Share with entire workspace, or use both options.
- Confirm the change.
Recipients can find the item under Shared with me, or on the Team Desktop when applicable. You can review and adjust access later from the share or properties interface.
Share files in channels
When you attach a file in a channel, Endstack can automatically share it with the channel's members so that everyone can open the same path. A channel-shared file also appears under Shared with me in Files.
